Common Alarm of Air Compressor and solutions
The Common Alarm of Air Compressor
1. High Temperature: The temperature of the oil and gas mixture at the compressor outlet is more than or equal to 110°C, it will alarm; will be tripped if reach to 120 °C.
2. High Pressure: Compressor outlet pressure, above 10bar alarm, 15bar trip.
3.Oil and Gas Separator: The air Compressed from the compressor head entrains large and small oil droplets. Large oil droplets are easily separated when passing through oil and gas separation tanks; while small oil droplets (suspended oil particles below 1um in diameter) must be filtered through the micron and glass filter layers of the oil and gas separation filter.Thereby enable the compressor to discharge more pure and oil-free compressed air.The solid particles in the compressed air are retained in the filter layer when passing through the oil core, which leads to an increase pressure difference (resistance) of the oil core.As the oil core usage time increases, the filter cartridge must be replaced when the oil core differential pressure reaches 0.08 to 0.1 MPa.
4.Air filter: When the air filter is dirty or blocked, the resistance of the air passing through the filter increases, and the compressor inlet generates a negative pressure.
5. Oil filter: Due to the long-term operation of the air compressor, impurities in the air are sucked into the compressor, causing the oil filter to be dirty and clogged, so that the pressure difference between the oil filter and the front is too large.
6. High oil temperature: due to the long-term operation of the air compressor, the oil quality is aging, the oil return path is not smooth, the oil filter is clogged, and the compressed air coming out of the air compressor will entrain a small amount of oil, causing the loss of air compressor oil, so that result in oil temperature will be high.
7. High exhaust temperature: It means that the air compressor has poor heat dissipation, and the air compressor oil quantity and oil quality are not normal.
8.Low oil level: the oil level in the air separator of the air compressor is low, and the oil is not visible in the oil level gauge.
9. Line pressure: Air compressor loading/no-load control exceeds machine operating pressure.
The Common Faults and Quick Solutions of Air Compressor
1.Power loss :air compressor power supply/control power supply loss.
Treatment method: Check whether the power supply and control power supply have electricity.
2.Motor temperature: The motor starts up too frequent, the load is too heavy, the motor cooling is not enough, the motor itself or the bearing have problems and so on.
Treatment method: limit the number of motor starts up and reduce the load setting pressure.
3.Compressor temperature: the temperature of the oil and gas mixture at the compressor outlet reaches to 120 ° C.
Treatment method: keep the air compressor well ventilated, check the the heat sink is covered with no debris, The heat sink has good heat dissipation, check air compressor oil level, cooling fan, temperature sensor.
4. Low starting up temperature: The air compressor panel shows that the temperature is lower than 1 °C.
5. High pressure: the compressor outlet pressure will be tripped if reach to 15 bar.
Treatment method: Check whether the setting pressure is too high, pressure sensor, etc, check the pressure regulating valve and the unloading valve.
6.Pressure sensor: There is a problem with the pressure, temperature and sensor wiring of the air compressor’s each line.
Treatment method: contact maintenance or manufacturer.
7.Motor steering error: the motor wiring is wrong or the triangle star cannot be switched normally when the motor starts up, and the steering signal sensor fault on the compressor body causes the air compressor to report the motor steering error.
Treatment method: Contact the inspection to check whether the motor phase sequence wiring is correct.
8.Maintenance expires: Air compressor maintenance time expires and exceeds 100 hours.
Treatment method: contact maintenance to maintain the air compressor. After finishing the maintenance, the maintenance personnel will reset the maintenance time.
9.Solenoid valve failure: The solenoid valve is loose or the lead connector is loose or disconnected.
Treatment method: contact for maintenance.
10.Cooling system failure: air compressor cooling fan does not rotate or there is a non-rotation, fan deformation, fan relay aging failure, loose wiring.
